Tab Bar

Moved the plus icon from the bottom navigation to the action bar. A category-wise search is not crucial enough to include in the action bar, so it should be under the explore page.

Bottom Navigation Bar

The bottom navigation bar comes in natural reach, it should contain highly-used features. The search function is used more often than video uploading.

As we have been using YouTube since 2 decades, we're accustomed to icon names, so it would be clearer without them.

And the account icon in the bottom navigation appears small and is hard to recognise. Therefore, it would be better to use a user icon instead of your profile picture.

Shorts

The content in shorts appears cluttered due to captions, reaction icons, and music. We spend almost a minute on each shorts, overlapping content looks weird. The issue is exacerbated when content creators place live captions at the bottom, making them unreadable due to overlapping captions, music, and channel names.

Video Player

Moved the autoplay, AirPlay, and captions options to the settings slide to reduce clutter in the main video player area.

Settings

Combined the video quality and playback speed controls into a single screen, allowing users to adjust these settings directly with an arrow icon, rather than navigating to a separate screen. This streamlines the interface by making it cleaner and more focused while simplifying access to key settings

Changed the YouTube caption icon from "CC" to a rectangle box with a bottom line.

Comment Section

Moved YouTube’s comments to the right panel for seamless viewing while watching.
