Communities
Communities, being groups of groups that most people don’t use, should not occupy space on the bottom navigation bar.
The chat section is the most important feature on WhatsApp. Therefore, it should be placed first on the left, followed by the status section and calls.
Additionally, we have been using WhatsApp for 15 years and are accustomed to its design. It will look cleaner without names.
Online Status
We introduced a new filter called Online that shows how many people are online at the moment.
In recent updates, WhatsApp changed the colour of icons, links, and other elements from blue to green, except for the right tick. We have updated this as well.
Status
We reverted WhatsApp to a previous version. In my opinion, WhatsApp is a private messaging app and should not have features like channels since we already receive news, photos, and other information from Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook. If all apps have the same features, it will defeat the purpose.
Chat
Since payments are not used very often, I have moved it to the Plus section. The stickers option is now in the emoji section, where you can also find GIFs.
If the camera is present at the top, there is no need to put it in the plus section. Also, since the camera can access the photos, there is no need for a separate gallery option.

Meta AI
We've been using WhatsApp for years and are accustomed to using the search bar to find contacts or messages. Now, with Meta AI integrated into the search bar, it creates confusion because searching for Meta AI feels redundant when you can already access it directly through the meta icon. This integration clutters the search bar, detracting from its original purpose, and you feel this change has degraded the app's usability.
